Home Respiratory Care

You want your system of choice to be state-of-the-art of course, tested and clinically proven to offer optimum levels of efficiency, comfort, safety, versatility and prediction. You want facts and figures. But, perhaps above all, you want a Home Ventilation System you can trust to transform lives day to day; a system that behind the advanced technology and innovation has the power to put the quality, pure and simple, back into your patients' lives.

We understand the pressure... choosing the right system is critical.

"...an increasing number of machines have become available on the market, and the physician is often faced with the difficult task of choosing the optimal device for a given patient. Making the right choice is important, since performance and patient comfort vary among devices [...] These issues are key to the success of long-term home NIV, patient-ventilator dyssynchrony being one of the documented causes of patient intolerance to the technique". Our ultimate goal is to respond to you and your patients' needs. To do this we have developed 5 major criteria, based on clinical data, that we believe describe the best solution.

  • the efficiency of the ventilation provided

  • the comfort of the patient in using ventilation

  • the safety of the ventilation process

  • the versatility of the unit in responding to change

  • the prediction of future care needs

Ahead with technology

Respironics was the first to introduce BiPAP® technology with Auto-TRAK™ Sensitivity in response to clinical needs in the late 80's, increasing the ability to ventilate patients who were previously treated via tracheotomy and to optimise patient-ventilator synchrony. Respironics' groundbreaking innovation continued with the 2003 introduction of AVAPS™ based on the proven Auto-TRAK™ algorithm superiority to provide efficient and comfortable ventilation without compromise.

Respironics' technology works with the patient's natural rhythm to provide a gentle and comfortable breathing experience.

Stardust® II

The Stardust II is a polygraph that links to a BiPAP device, recording a patient’s respiratory effort and body position, oxygen saturation, pulse rate and plots signals issued by the BiPAP unit relating to the patient’s flow, tidal volume, leaks and pressure.

Encore® PRO SOFTWARE

Every BiPAP system is fitted with an Encore SmartCard® that stores data gathered over the previous six months and generates reports about how and when the system is being used. This allows clinicians to monitor patients compliance and identify when any adjustments are necessary for effective treatment.
